In the past, If you'd like to use a Workstation with two Xeon Platinum 8176 Processors, which each have 28 cores but still have an OS that efficiently scales across all the cores packaged in that advanced, high-core density processor, the best option would have been Server 2016 Standard for 46 cores as your OS. At retail that would cost you $2600. Windows 10 Pro for Workstations however is an OS that is made for high-core density processors that does not have a core limit. The only limit is to the number of processors you can use, which is 4.
