MC74 is its own cloud managed and SIP connected telephony solution. </p> <p><strong>Is the video wall just displayed in the Cisco Meraki browser portal, or is there a way to pipe it to some external interface that wouldn't frequently require logging in?</strong><br> Currently the portal is available only in the cloud interface. This may change in the future.</p> <p><strong>I am a Cisco and Cisco Meraki partner. Am I still eligible for the Meraki 360 training?</strong><br> Absolutely. We'll be sending invitations as the scheduled dates approach. Please do attend as this is a path to Cisco Select Certification with many profitable benefits that aren't available without.</p> <p><strong>As I recall, there was discounted pricing for internal use products. What do I need to do to get these purchased?</strong><br> NFR purchases are available for registered partners.</p> <p><strong>Is there a roadmap on when other SIP providers will come aboard?</strong><br> We don't have visibility into these timelines, but we do know there are other providers in consideration. </p> <p><strong>Can the Cisco Meraki phones be setup to register to my existing IP PBX (Asterisk based)?</strong><br> Presently no. Intellipeer is the only supported SIP provider.</p> <p><strong>Are the Cisco Meraki phones standard SIP?</strong><br> They are service provider specific at this time. </p> <p><strong>Can you create a user just to manipulate the video from the cameras?</strong><br> There is a role defined for camera viewers that have no access to other devices in an organization. All network administrators can view and configure cameras. Very detailed User roles and permissions for cameras is available <a href="" onClick="var s=s_gi(s_account); s.linkTrackVars='eVar14'; s.eVar14='';,'e','LAB-CISCOMERAKI-CAMERAS')" target="_blank">here</a></p> <p><strong>Will be phones be compatible with Cisco Call Manager in the future?</strong><br> We don't know. It's not likely due to differences in features and markets.</p> <p><strong>Can I use the Cisco Evolve program with Cisco Meraki?</strong><br> At this time, Meraki is not included in the Evolve program. We do however think this is a great idea and hope to add the product in the future.<br> <strong>What is the cost of the Meraki 360 training?</strong><br> The training is sponsored by Meraki through D&amp;H and is no charge to you.</p> <p><strong>Will the viewer and admin account only see the camera functions or would they be able to see the security appliance functions?</strong><br> View only roles can see only video. No other access would be granted to these users.</p> <p><strong>Will there be a phone app for a remote user to access their phone extension or to make calls via the Cisco Meraki phone system remotely?</strong><br> At present, there is no roadmap for a full remote soft phone app. Click to call can be configured for use on authenticated PC's browsers.</p> <p><strong>Do the cameras have the ability to rotate? Do the cameras have "See-in-the-Dark" ability?</strong><br> They are fixed position with IR illumination and excellent low light performance.</p> <p><strong>Does the video storage only reside on the camera devices?</strong><br> Only on the camera. </p> <p><strong>Where does the voicemail data reside for Cisco Meraki phones?</strong><br> Voicemail is stored on the cloud and can be accessed remotely.</p> <p><strong>Did you say 50 feet in the dark for the camera?</strong><br> Fifty feet is documented, but we haven't measured this in our lab due to space constraints.</p> <p><strong>Can you provide a site that explains each step to become Cisco Meraki certified?</strong><br> Meraki CMNA is a step from Cisco CCNA. There are Meraki sponsored courses for this program. To become a Meraki partner, and for more information on the CMNA programs, please visit <a href="" onClick="var s=s_gi(s_account); s.linkTrackVars='eVar14'; s.eVar14='';,'e','LAB-CISCOMERAKI-PARTNERS')" target="_blank"></a></p> <p><strong>For MSP's do you have specialized pricing? If so, where can I review it?</strong><br> There's no special pricing for MSP. Select certification allows deal registration for additional discounts on qualifying business. </p> <p><strong>What are the MSP billing options?</strong><br> Yes.</p> <p><strong>How much local storage do the Cisco Meraki cameras hold?</strong><br> About 20 days' worth with current firmware. NVRAM is 128GB. </p> <p><strong>Is the licensing for Meraki a separate SKU or is that included in the initial price?</strong><br> License is an additional SKU available for a 1, 3, 5, 7, or 10 year subscription term.</p> <p><strong>For the cameras, are there any backup options, cloud or otherwise?</strong><br> Video can be exported and saved locally. This is a manual process which must be initiated through the portal.</p> <p><strong>Is the enterprise/advanced license an either/or, or do you have to buy enterprise and add advanced?</strong><br> It's an either or selection. Breakdown of services in each of these for the MX security appliance is <a href="" onClick="var s=s_gi(s_account); s.linkTrackVars='eVar14'; s.eVar14='';,'e','LAB-CISCOMERAKI-LICENSING')" target="_blank">here</a></p> <p><strong>What happens when the Cisco Meraki license expires?</strong><br> There's a 30 day grace period during which the system sends notifications to the administrators to renew. If these are ignored after some time, the system will become inaccessible.</p> <p><strong>What about device replacement? If my main switch/device croaks, how easy is replacement and reconfiguration? Is it done offline?</strong><br> Super easy! Hardware can be preconfigured even before it ships from Meraki to the destination. </p> <p><strong>What if I need to keep a demo kit for more than 15 days?</strong><br> We can extend the time as needed and if kits are available. We allocate on a first come - first served basis. Since there is a limited number of kits, we need to be sure everyone has an opportunity to take advantage of the demo kit program.</p> <p><strong>Can I use the demo kit for End User POC?</strong><br> Yes you can as it is a fully functional demo kit that can be set up for POC to your end user customers.  Also it can be leverage for technical group training too. </p> <p><strong>Are there any requirements to sell Meraki?</strong><br> Yes - Meraki hardware and licensing is restricted to Meraki registered partners. You can become a partner by filling out the application form on <a href="" onClick="var s=s_gi(s_account); s.linkTrackVars='eVar14'; s.eVar14='';,'e','LAB-CISCOMERAKI-PARTNERS')" target="_blank"></a></p> <p><strong>Can we get customized demo kits? We'd like additional access points to demo to a customer we have in mind.</strong><br> With business justification and commitment, we will modify a kit to fit your needs. We've carefully selected a mix of product for the greatest impact for your customer. We can temporarily license equipment in a demo pod if desired, but this has some caveats we can discuss offline. </p> <p><strong>Can I a T1 line with the MC74?</strong><br> All of Meraki's hardware stack requires a fully digital connection. There is no provision to convert voice streams to digital for use with the phone system.
