D&H CANADA LAUNCHES MODERN SOLUTIONS BUSINESS UNIT, ADDS MICROSOFT CSP SOLUTIONS TO CLOUD MARKETPLACE

- New Developments Empower D&H Canada Partners to Equip the Evolving Hybrid Workplace, Addressing Technology Consumption Trends with Turn-key Applications, Infrastructure, Collaboration, & Security -

BRAMPTON, ONT - July 25, 2022 – D&H Canada, a major provider of technology solutions to the Canadian channel, announces the launch of its new Modern Solutions Business Unit, designed to help channel partners develop practices and create solutions in transformative technology categories including hybrid-based business applications, infrastructure, collaboration, and security. The Modern Solutions Business Unit will support the design and deployment of end-to-end solutions based on how partners want to deliver—and how their end-customers want to consume—these technologies.

This go-to-market model "completely reinvents the structure of the traditional distribution business unit," according to D&H Canada General Manager Michelle Biase, revitalizing how D&H's channel partners deliver technology based on trends like XaaS, hybrid cloud and remote collaborative environments, and the use of DaaS-based device suites. As such, D&H has aligned a consolidated team of experts to support all hardware, software, services, and components sales, applying a flexible delivery and finance model that empowers partners to address how their end-clients want to consume technology.

Under the umbrella of the new Modern Solutions initiative, D&H Canada has become an authorized Microsoft CSP provider, adding Microsoft's solutions to the distributor's Cloud Marketplace transactional platform. In addition, D&H Canada will deliver custom-configured systems based through HPE's Configure to Order (CTO) program, allowing D&H to offer a wide range of HPE's software and equipment including servers, storage, and networking hardware. D&H Canada has also added the HPE GreenLake edge-to-cloud offering to its portfolio, expanding the types of hybrid cloud environments the distributor can accommodate for its customers. These new developments will help D&H Canada's channel partners better navigate the evolving marketplace, which places more burden on the MSP to manage various essential services.

D&H's Modern Solutions practice will revolve around the following technology categories:

  • Modern Applications: Will accommodate trends like software moving to SaaS models and the transition from ongoing licensing to subscription-based purchasing. This encompasses D&H vendors like Microsoft, ConnectWise, and airSlate.
  • Modern Infrastructure: Addresses growth in IaaS, consumption-based payment models, edge computing, and modernization/migration to cloud. This involves D&H vendors such as Cisco, Microsoft Azure, Cameyo, Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE), and CloudCheckr.
  • Modern Collaboration: Addresses trends like the hybrid office, telecom convergence, and "Work From Anywhere" including via mobile and hybrid meeting rooms. Vendors include Avaya, Cisco, Dropbox, Intermedia, Poly, Jabra, Logitech, Neat, Lenovo, and RingCentral.
  • Modern Security: Addresses the market's move toward SaaS cyber security and the MSP's migration to MSSP models. Vendors include Cisco, ConnectWise, Microsoft, SonicWall, Sophos, Vade, and Webroot.

These offerings create a compelling option for channel partners looking to accommodate the wide-ranging requirements of the new hybrid workplace, which typically include collocated offices, distributed team members, and complex remote environments incorporating more flexible workplace trends like hot-desking and rotating work-from-home schedules.
