— Categories Such as PCs, Accessories, Networking, Servers, and Consumer Electronics Have Seen Impressive Gains, as D&H Enhances Customer Engagement for FY 2019 —

BRAMPTON, ONT - May 21, 2019 - D&H Canada is proud to announce it has achieved 14% overall YoY growth for its 2019 Fiscal Year, which began on May 1, 2018 and ended April 30, 2019. VAR growth at D&H Canada is increasing at nearly 29% per year. As per recent figures from global analyst firm NPD, D&H Canada outpaced overall market growth in several key categories, showing 26% growth in PCs, 74% growth in consumer electronics, 23.7% in networking solutions, 19.4% in PC accessories, 20% in eSports/videogaming, and 10% in server products.

D&H's recent expansion was not limited to sales growth. It also reflected executive changes for high-level personnel in North America. This included a seamless transition wherein Roy Rivers ascended to Vice President of Sales at D&H Canada, and long-time General Manager Greg Tobin moved into a consulting role. The company also welcomed Chris Ralston as its new Director, Vendor Management. Canada-based Vice President of Marketing Jennifer Walcott was brought on in 2018 to oversee marketing across North America. She joins Canada's Tim Billing, who serves as Senior Vice President of Vendor Management and Purchasing at D&H Distributing, expanding a Canadian presence within D&H's North American executive team.

Addressing the EoS PC Refresh

D&H is seeing the beginnings of a PC refresh cycle in response to the January 2020 end-of-service and end-of-life deadlines for Microsoft Windows 7 and Server 2008 R2. The distributor predicts this will open the door to discussions of comprehensive infrastructure and device upgrades, including to high performance notebooks, powerful WiFi systems, mobile device management, power protection products, collaboration solutions, and more.

Modernized devices such as premium notebooks--one of this fiscal year's higher growth areas at 32%--can deliver more efficient capabilities to the SMB marketplace through Windows 10, Intel®'s powerful vPro™ processors, and wider adoption of cloud applications. These devices offer advantages such as all-day battery life, superior security, performance increases of up to 80%, and multitasking speeds that are more than twice as fast as Windows 7-based notebooks.

Increased Engagement in FY 2020:

Fiscal Year 2020 for D&H Canada will be marked by a considerable enhancement in its engagement efforts throughout the country. The distributor has launched a series of "Solutions Roadshows," taking place in regional markets including London, Quebec City, and other locations to be held this fall.

The Solutions Roadshow series allows VARs to participate in face-to-face, "Round Robin" meetings with a list of prominent vendor representatives. The series lets D&H Canada to extend its value proposition more proactively throughout the Canadian territories, including beyond its established events in Montreal, Toronto, and Vancouver, reaching areas outside the country's typical large city centers.

The series kicked-off with a Markham, Ontario, session in March, involving representatives from APC, BenQ, Cisco, Comsale, Epson, Intel, Lenovo, LG, NETGEAR, Patriot, and Seagate. The events deliver hands-on training to resellers who might not otherwise be able to take advantage of such opportunities, in a more intimate setting and with increased time devoted to one-on-one meetings.

In addition, the distributor increased its customer engagement remotely through its new "Partner Presence" offering. This virtual venue delivers interactive training sessions to select resellers in regional geographies via powerful videoconferencing technology. The Partner Presence venue also enables D&H Canada's sales reps and technical specialists to increase their visibility and interaction with customers, conducting meetings virtually with remote VARs in their very own boardrooms.

"D&H Canada wants to create a culture of engagement, where our training, solutions, and high-touch service model can be extended into areas that have been typically underserved in the current economy," said Rivers. "The more we consult with our customer base on the best ways to address their needs, the more we hear the demand for increased interaction from partners. They want not just the solutions, but the expertise and the market insights on how to assemble these solutions and deliver them successfully. We're dedicated to the task of showing up for our resellers and dealers in the field, especially in areas where other companies have contracted their offerings."

"For Fiscal Year 2020, D&H will continue to develop growing areas of opportunity such as ProAV and commercial displays, networking security, computer components, and PC gaming solutions," added Billing. "Another element of our engagement involves identifying focus areas where our customers can build their competencies, then delivering both solutions and market strategies to those resellers, empowering them to generate new revenue streams."

Continued Transformation in FY 2020

"D&H has made some major transitions in 2019, and that effort is not nearly finished," said Dan Schwab, co-president at D&H Distributing. "Our customers are being called upon to address a wider base of challenges for businesses. D&H continues to advance on a trajectory that allows us to involve more SMB and managed service provider partners in innovative, next-generation projects. Our assets help reseller partners leverage trends to not only grow their own offerings, but to increase the sophistication of small business companies, creating more technologically well-appointed, effective, modern workplace environments."

"We're looking to the incoming Fiscal Year with great anticipation," said Michael Schwab, co-president at D&H. "As a distribution company, we've been on a constant course of evolution to address the market's transformation. We've added talent to our ranks and are mastering emerging trends, delivering the tools and expertise our solution providers need to profit from their escalated role in the marketplace."
